Americana Party-time

July is the month of patriotic celebration, and what better way to forget the Monday blues with a 4th of July party? Patriotic parties can become cheesy very easily, but here are some fun ideas for some last minute planning for Monday’s festivities.

BBQ’s are an easy and inexpensive way to feed a large group of people. Get creative with the BBQ theme with a hot dog and hamburger bar.

Paper and Cake has created adorable printable partyware for all your 4th of July party essentials. Gather different bowls and plates to set out toppings for hot dogs and hamburgers, print out patriotic labels and let your guests get creative with their meal!

They also have easy items to print out to decorate any tables for guests to sit at throughout the day. If you aren’t in a location that has easy access to a beach, get creative with a fun block party 4th of July at your home with different games such as pie eating contests or sack races to keep the kids busy.

If you want to do something different for dessert rather than the usual pies, try out popsicles! Popsicles are an all time favorite for kids and adults alike and Zoku has reinvented popsicle making for the better! As a recent owner of Zoku, I can personally attest to the simplicity and deliciousness of the outcome. Gather freshly pureed fruits or juices to create fresh fruit popsicles, or use the recipe book to get creative with different flavors and designs. It’s fun, quick, easy and delicious!

Enjoy a rare Monday off to celebrate family, friends and the freedom America is blessed to have! Share with us pictures of your own parties and ways you got creative with with food and decorations too!
