It is OFFICIALLY Springtime! Even though we may not be feeling it in the weather, flowers are starting to bloom, the days are getting longer and it is time to enjoy some fresh air! Spring really does bring something refreshing to the days, don’t you think? The rains cleanses the air, the birds are making nests outside the time and it is a beautiful time to begin something new! So let’s try the outdoors. Not the rugged outdoors just yet, but the sweet and simple outdoors. Gardening and picnics! Here is a Springtime wish list!
Sur La Table has a few great options for jars perfect to make sun tea. Such a gratifying and delicious beverage that is kid friendly AND can be made into an afternoon treat for mom and dad! Look into new recipes and variations on the classic art of making tea with sunlight!
Succulent plants are becoming increasingly popular and for a good reason! They are easy! They don’t require a lot of attention, but they are BEAUTIFUL for inside the home! Check out this book from Pigment on how to take care of your succulents. Pigment is also one of my favorite places for succulent planters!
I love this picnic basket from Apolis. Nothing too fancy, and it can be doubled as a farmers market bag! Pack it up and take the family outside for a lunch and play date!
Finally, the art of the Vertical Garden. Whether you have room in the back yard, or you live in the city, vertical gardens are the perfect way to have fresh, seasonal, organic food! Williams Sonoma has their own vertical garden kits or you can build your own if you are feeling adventurous!
