POSH projects for mommies and kids!
Time to get crafty! There are so many resources for different crafty ideas, but where to begin? So often, we begin crafts that end up getting thrown away after they are displayed for a week or two, so let’s look at some ideas that will be fun and usable.
Some of the greatest decorations are home made decorations, and it’s the perfect way to get a personalized and unique look for any room or occasion. Let’s think paper. We all have books or magazines in our home, some of which may not be read anymore. You just can’t seem to get rid of them. Try taking old children’s books and turn them into pictures frames, or remove the pages of a book and replace them with blank pages to be used for a journal. Check out some awesome ideas from Bookity on Etsy for some POSH ideas for reusing old magazines and other paper for decorations, ornaments or other fun projects.
Not only can crafts be a creative escape for a POSH mommy, but they can also be great for time with the kids. Allow your kids to get creative. Numerous studies show how important it is for children to participate in creative activities to promote mental growth and expression. What better way to do this than through fun crafts? Making their old books into boxes to keep jewelry or small toys in is a fun way to get your kids involved. Use an X-Acto knife to cut out a rectangle (or other fun shape) out of the book and use mod podge or another liquid glue to make sure the pages stay together when opening and closing the new box for goodies! Your kids can also reuse any paper to create home made stickers!
Getting crafty is a perfect opportunity for time for you. Use this time to channel your own creative mind and escape the current responsibilities or stresses of the day and share your POSH crafts with other POSH mommies and friends!
