Labor Day heralds the end of summer, back to school and even reminds us that Christmas is right around the corner. But more importantly, it recognizes the hard work, strength and prosperity of Americans throughout history. This Labor Day we honor our production team by highlighting below the main steps they take to create your beautiful pieces in Chicago, IL.
You might not realize all that goes into your gorgeous piece! First, we take your custom specifications and design each combination to perfection such as this Initial Love Necklace.
We use a high tech machine for the initial cuts, and then each piece is punched manually by someone on the production team. It’s an intensive process, but integral to POSH’s quality standards. Our Script Monogram Necklace gets the most care and attention.
Calling all POSH Discs to the Bench! Here we set each piece with the elements necessary to make it wearable and unique. This can include soldering on jump rings or setting stones. All this is done completely by our highly skilled bench jeweler.
With polishing putty and a bit of pressure on the wheel, we start to see shine on this POSH Loop! You wouldn’t know it looking at a finished piece, but until this step, it’s a messy process working with raw materials. It’s not anything like the messes our children leave though. 🙂
Close to the finish line! After polishing, each piece is cleaned and then it’s ready to be dipped into the proper plating color. These Mini Dog Tags will be white. Which color silver is your favorite: white, yellow or rose?
The POSH team dresses the piece to go out the door much like when we are trying to get ready. We put on chains and place in our signature POSH packaging. Then it is shipped to you.
In between each step in the process, we go through careful quality assurance before a piece can proceed.
We want to thank our POSH Mommy production team for their continued dedication and hard work, especially as we head into the busy holiday season. Thank you! And to our POSH Community, thank you for loving POSH Mommy and have a wonderful weekend.
