Good-Bye Boring Breakfast Meals, HELLO FABULOUS!

So we are always busy, especially in the mornings!  Our breakfast turns into protein bars and a banana!  Well mommies, say good-bye to those boring meals and hello to these fabulous no cook breakfast meals that are nutrient rich!

Try:

A Protein packed fruit smoothie!

Add strawberries and nectarines into a blender.  Add plain non-fat or low-fat yogurt, orange juice, honey, ice, and BLEND!  How simple right? And delicious! If you use protein powder, you can add that to it as well for that extra boost!

A Chocolate-Raspberry Smoothie that’s DAIRY FREE

Add frozen raspberries, a banana, and some chocolate soy milk.  You can also add your protein powder to this delicious smoothie as well!

Side note:  when making smoothies I always prefer frozen fruit, not to mention it saves you some money!!  Who doesn’t love that?

Fruit, Yogurt and Granola, OH MY!

Get your favorite berries like blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries and add non-fat or low fat plain or vanilla yogurt! You can make it fancy by adding the yogurt to the bottom of a glass, then the fruit, and repeat till you get to the top or mix it all together!  Sprinkle some granola on top and you have the perfect mix of protein and carbohydrates to start off your day!

Side note:  Berries are LOADED with vitamins, including antioxidants which protect from free-radicals, which keeps you looking young and flawless!  Fruit is always best to eat in the morning to avoid the blood sugar spike later on in the day!

The way too easy omelet!

I love this one.

First bring water to a boil in a sauce pot.  Use 3 egg whites and one whole egg crack into a bowl and whisk.  Use your favorite veggies like chopped broccoli, tomatoes, green onions, add some cut up turkey or chicken from last night’s dinner, a pinch of cheese (like parmesan or another hard cheese) if desired mix in with eggs.  Pour contents into a zip-lock bag and place in boiling water (holding the top) and watch your omelet cook!

See, breakfast can be fun and healthy even if we are busy POSHmommies!
